I knew a girl who wandered the streets,
Walking from alley to alley,
In search of a place to go,
Amidst a sea of people,
Taking from each as they traversed,
Getting to know a life before it slipped by,
A story before it faded to black,
Each face a mirror of love, suffering, amusement, loneliness,
Delight, pain, surprise, fear and change,
As she walked towards the end of this street,
Capturing a snapshot of every emotion,
She wished the world that she came to know,
Could see the same.
