An ADHD or autism diagnosis is not the end of the road – it’s the beginning. And often, it’s kept from the very women who need it most.
The Neurodivergent Phoenix Convention gives you the tools to use your voice in a system designed to keep you silenced.
You’ve travelled a long road to get here.
Celebrated when you were useful. Dismissed when you no longer wanted to be.
As women, many of us were taught from a young age to over-control our emotions and under-react. To be less. Quieter. Safer—for others. Expressing our emotions wasn’t safe; we knew that. And yet, there is so much power within our capacity to feel.
The day we suppress our emotions is the day we give our power away.
So when we hit natural rites of passage – puberty, the luteal phase, pregnancy, childbirth, perimenopause, menopause – we don’t just need hormones explained. We need safe spaces to process what those hormonal shifts are bringing up in our bodies, minds, and spirits.
But instead, too often, we are handed a confusing label.
This Convention Is a Rebellion 🔥
Against:
- medical gaslighting;
- the quiet exile of women from relationships when they no longer want to perform traditional female roles;
- systems that fear your power.
It’s for every ADHD & AuDHD woman who’s been called “intense,” “unstable,” “dramatic,” “crazy” – when she most needed to be met in her emotional depth. It’s for those who’ve been handed a BPD rating scale without context or compassion.
Because the truth is:
We don’t heal by labeling emotion. We heal by being met inside it.
Have We Stopped to Ask 💡:
“Are we all playing a game where the winner isn’t us?”
What the Research Shows 🧠
📊 Many neurodivergent (ND) women are first misdiagnosed with PMDD, MDD, GAD, or other mood/personality disorders
💥 40% of autistic women are misdiagnosed with BPD
🧠 Up to 1 in 3 women with a BPD label may actually meet criteria for ADHD or autism when assessed through a neurodivergent-informed lens
⏳ Late-diagnosed ND women often carry years of trauma from being misunderstood and mistreated – especially in care systems
Why An Event for Neurodivergent Women Must Combine Science & Nervous System Regulation
Having spoken to over 100,000 people over the years, I’ve noticed a pattern: awareness talks often stir deep emotional recognition, but without a space for grounding or integration, they can leave our wounds open. Fragmented parts of the self get kicked up into the air with no place to land. I often overcompensate by staying long enough for everyone to ask all their questions.
However, I would leave feeling a little untethered myself – walking back to a hotel alone late at night, holding the stories I had heard, and the emotion I had activated in others. There was a connection, yes – but also a gap. A missing bridge between awareness and regulation.
That’s why I wrote Tip of the ADHD Iceberg, to help close that gap. To offer a guide for neurodivergents who need more than just insight. They needed something to hold onto as they navigated the deeper layers beneath their late diagnosis.
And it’s also why I knew my next event had to be different. It had to combine education with embodied, communal regulation rituals. Because without those anchors, people stay in the headspace of “learning”, while their bodies remain overwhelmed, trying to process it all alone.
Welcome to the Neurodivergent Phoenix Convention 🌟
Where we burn down the old stories, and rebuild them with fire 🔥, truth, and sisterhood.
This isn’t just a gathering.
It’s a liberation. Remembering who you were before the world taught you how to be.
Join us on the 6th October (from 6.45 pm) LIVE in Arches London Bridge. Not just to learn, but to be part of a community of women who have lived parallel lives. Not just to understand ADHD and AuDHD, but to reclaim your voice from the systems that silenced it. 🧬🔥💃
